Low skill, low intensity, low volume

So the mumps had me out for over 2 weeks, which was great fun. At least the weather was good!

Did easy training sessions to try and get back into the swing of lifting last Friday, Sunday and Monday. Today was the first one even resembling a decent session.

Wednesday 10th June
Snatch warmup
Snatch: 2@34, 2@37, 2@40 x 4
Snatch pulls: 2@40, 2@44, 2@48 x 3
C+J warmup
C+J: 1+2@35, 1+2@40, 1@2@45, 1+2@49 x 3
Front Squats: 2@45, 2@55, 2@65 x 3

Still tired and weak but getting back to it!

  1. Good stuff, glad to see you have got away from that pathwords game. One wonders if you were near the Irish Lions players, particularly that Kearney fella:

  2. No, I'm taking no responsibility for Kearney!

Mumps is epidemic here at the moment. As a baseline the number of cases in Ireland every year is usually under 400 or so. There have been 4000 this year so far.

They should make students get boosters for it when they go to college, because a single dose of the vaccine isn't that effective. Also apparently back in the 80s they weren't so good with refrigerating vaccines, so between these factors herd immunity is not what it could be.
